CHEYENNE WILLIAMS TAKES CHAMPIONSHIP AT THE EMBRY-RIDDLE TOURNAMENT

OUAZ FINISHES WITH 5 PLACERS

The OUAZ Women's Wrestling Team built on last week's success by having even better results at the Embry-Riddle University Tournament. Still down several wrestlers due to injury and illness, the team had a total of five wrestlers place at the tournament.

Cheyenne Williams led the way with a Championship, finishing with two first period pins. Both pins came via Cheyenne's signature cradle.

Hermelinda Medonza made it to the finals before falling in the Championship match. Hermelinda won her semi-final match by pin.

LyQualah Kinsey continued improving from last week. After losing her first match to the tournament runner-up, LyQualah recorded three straight first period pins.

Taliyah Armstrong improved on last week's fourth place finish to come out third this week. In the third place match, she recorded a first period pin.

Jennifer Alcott, who was out last week, finished fourth in her first college tournament. She won by pin in the consolation semi-final match.
