The Women's Wrestling is clearly on the right track. An impressive showing at the Utah Tech Tournament was their best performance of the season.
The tournament started with two Dual Meets on Friday, Nov 21st. First up was against UNLV. Despite being without 4 Weight Classes, OUAZ won 36-30. They won 6 of the 7 weight classes contested. The team had pins by

Next up was Utah Tech. Again, still without 4 weight classes, The Final Score was 30-30. However, Utah Tech won the Meet based on Criteria. Pins were posted by

Saturday was even more impressive. Competing in 8 weight classes, OUAZ produced 4 Champions (
Bella Ramos,
Brianna Reyes,
Evelynn Coronado, and
Janelle Mattos) , 2 Runners-up (
Liliana Voakes and
Paige Uitu), a 3
rd (Danielle Sizelove) and a 4th (
Angelina Walker).
Especially dominant was Bella Rams with 3 straight first period pins. According to Head Coach
Ed Cruz, "Along with everyone, Bella has been getting better every time she steps on the mat."
